Getaway Rentals is owned and founded by Adam and Lucy who are based in Darwin with their young, adventurous family.
Adam and Lucy have an enormous amount of knowledge and expertise in outback tourism as they currently have two other Northern Territory based businesses, Kapalga Travel & Kimberley Off-Road Tours.
But for those travellers who are seeking to see Australia at their own pace we have created Getaway Rentals.
Adam has been based here in the north for 16 years, he first starting out as a deck hand, then a diver on the pearling boats out of Broome he then made the move to tourism where he ran extended camping trips across the north for 12 years. In this time did over 100 crossing of the Gibb River Road and countless trips through the Kakadu, Arnhem Land and the Gulf region as well as trips down to Alice Springs and surrounds.
Lucy has always had a taste for adventure and in 2011 she left her hometown in England and moved to Australia where she has never looked back. Lucy continued her media career producing for television and radio whilst taking extended breaks to go backpacking with Adam through Africa, Asia and Europe. She now lives a settled family life in Darwin with Adam, raising the kids and contributing to all aspects of their businesses.
